My social-change practice with PST alone has spurred the creation of positions of leadership for womxn, POC and youth; Amplified the voices of North Philadelphia residents; Extended an equitable platform for under-represented artists to create and excel in performing-arts spaces; Engaged audiences in cultivating social consciousness; Increased audience access for community members, students and seniors, and free access for youth 18 and under; and cultivated a community without the limits of patriarchal hierarchy. As a producer, I have agency in preserving the stories that center joy and fuel survival in my community.
